If I cough up a bit of blood but otherwise feel well in my chest I give it a few days to see if it settles down. Going pink or brown or back to normal colour. If it doesn't I turn to the antibiotics. It is very difficult for us bronchs to judge because we change all the time. I hope that helps

I would get that checked out to be honest with you as it could be something really simple. But it would put your mind at rest. Pharmacists are great these days so you might want to ask them. And it saves going to the doctors 😉

Are you coughing fresh blood or pink sputum, if it’s fresh blood more than an egg cup full call 999, less than an egg cup call 111. If it’s pink sputum see your GP there is no point in taking antibiotics until you have been tested for infection, antibiotics won’t work with viral or fungal infections which can cause pink sputum.

Have you been tested for TB?? it is very prevalent, surprisingly there are more new cases reported in the UK than could imagine. I would be sure and check.
