I want to thank you all for your helpful replies. As it happens, I posted my message at just the right time as I actually have an appointment with the GP tomorrow, so I can go armed with all your advice. One thing I’d like to say is that my surgery does not have a nebuliser and if you need to use one, you have to get to the hospital 45 minutes away - you could be dead by the time you get there!! I’ve been admitted to A&E 3 times, and the last time, when I was sent by the paramedics by car with a friend driving me (as the wait for an ambulance was estimated at 2 hours), the wait in A&E to be seen by a doctor was 7.5 hours! I kid you not 🙁. While I was there, I was sitting next to a woman who was in a more desperate state than me and she told me that she had purchased a nebuliser on the internet but that the GP’s in our area won’t prescribe the meds for home nebulisers so she had to get to the hospital too. I think they’re trying to kill us off 🤣 I’ll let you know how the appointment goes that’s IF I actually get to see her. They’re rather fond of just doing triage on the phone and then sending a prescription to the local chemist…. X

I hope things improve for you. Lungies are being very badly treated in your area.
