Hi , I have been prescribed Symbicort 200/6 and was fine for the first week or so but now I am getting palpitations, has anyone else suffered from this and if so did it get better as it says in the leaflet?

I have COPD and bronchiectasis. (only found out last month)

I used to get them often but it setteled down,,however i would,,either have a word with your local pharmasist,,or give the helpline a ph to make sure,,keep well :)

I started on it a couple of months ago. In the very early days I was aware a couple of times of palpitations but they seem to have settled down. Not sure if there's a correlation.

When I first start using it I did suffer, and then was told to not take symbicort and salbutamol too close together, after that no problems.

The ventolin inhaler and the salbutamol in the neb. causes my husband palpitations. He is on symbicort and has been for about 4 years with no problems. Well I say no problems - he hasn't mentioned any! Perhaps you could ring the helpline they may know if this is a side effect. May you should let your doctor know too. TAD xx

i used to get this then one day I had a heart attack ,I had a stent fitted 24 hrs after being sent home I got them very bad I was taken to the a&e where they told me my heart rat was 300 plus they slowed my heart down till it nearly stop, I was ok for some time the it started again .

I was taken back and was given the same proceder as the stent only this I was told they was correcting the signals from my brain to my heart since then 2006 I have had no trouble.
