Lung Scan

I had an abdominal scan which showed a lesion on my lung. I had a lung scan at a later date. I received an appointment by post with the respiratory medicine department for 5 weeks after the scan. Is this usual, should I be concerned?

Who ordered the "abdominal scan"

I have this problem - My lung scan showed a 6mm nodule which has not moved as yet anyway,

Golden rule until or unless you get something to worry about then don't - I had to go to my respiratory medicine department and another scan was ordered but still the nodule has not moved.

Very often they turn out to b infection or inflammation.my motto is,don't worry until Yr told there's something to worry about xx

This is normal, if any anomaly is seen on an X-ray or scan then there will be a follow up appointment. The reason is to identify the cause of the anomaly and as my consultant told me there are numerous things that show on scans and most of them are not cancer.

I was sent to a chest clinic and down for a scan after x rays showed a mass on my lung. It turned out to be early signs of bronchiectasis. Don’t worry. They’re keeping a check on you xx
