Lung CT scan

Had appointment with respiratory clinic. Last CT scan is showing some white mass bottom of the lung. Not sure what it is and will do another scan in 12 weeks. Going out of my mind

It’s not easy to have to wait for 12 weeks when you’ve been told you have a mass at the bottom of your lung. It does sound as if it’s a watch and wait situation so please try and stay as calm as you can.

Speak to your doctor if you’re very anxious and see if he can offer some reassurance.

Thanks Sassy, couldn't get the consultant today. That's when I had been stuck on Google and came across this group l.

If they are waiting three months for a repeat scan they are unsure what it is. If they were sure they would not be doing “wait and see”. Might well be infection or inflammation. I’ve just been through the same process and the “white area” has gone after three months. No point me saying not to worry because you will but try to postpone it until your next CT.

Delighted for you, how did you manage to stay sane for 12 weeks? My CT scan was originally in November so I'm be annoyed it's another 12 weeks to wait.
