Lung infection

I had previously posted that on Monday my GP stated I had a lot of crackling in my left lung, however last night i attended my local A&E.

At midnight I experienced paid in my chest and middle back with dry hacking coughing.

A & E gave me a chest xray and stated it was due to the infection.

I had a call this morning from the same hospital statying they found something on my right lung and I've to attend hospital in the morning for a full CT scan, wait a few hours to see a lung specalist and talk over the results with an action plan.

I have bullous emphysema so I do hope the viral infection has not agrivated or even progressed my bullous emphysema.

Hi, I suffer from severe emphysema and have recently been admitted to hospial with chest pains, they did eventually go and I am still hereto tell the tale. The CT scan will show defects in the lung but you should have some options for treatment, including lung transplants, lung reduction, lung valves and coils and even stem cell. Research these ASAP so you can discuss options with your Hospital specialist.
