Thank you all for your encouraging replies.

I was really dreading going mainly because I have other health issues and afraid I wouldn’t be able to keep up. Listening to all your replies and knowing now that they assess your abilities has spurred me on a bit. I am now much more positive and looking forward to it.

Thank you again.

Hi Oscardoggy, lots of people fear their initial PR session. It sounds like you've had great advice (not from me as I didnt see your initial post!) and Im glad you are now looking forward to it. As you will probably have been told, PR physiotherapists will work with you to find what you can do, without any judgement. You dont say (in this post) what your other health issues are, but they are well used to those with e.g. heart problems, pain from arthritis etc so whatever you are dealing with, they will have worked with it before.

PR is fantastic - having been dxd at mid-moderate state in 2000, I would probably not still be here if I hadnt been referred to PR classes. The physios are inspiring, they will work with you to help you maximise your potential. I hope you will come back and tell us how you are getting on after you start. Good luck and all the best. :)

Glad you are now looking forward to it. The nurses and physios will work at your pace. When I had PR they were so kind and thoughtful to the frailest member of the group and they made it fun for all of us- plenty of laughs. I think we all came out rather fitter and a lot more knowledgeable than when we started. I hope your course is as nice. xxx
