Mine is definitely worse. I’m having to use my blue inhaler every day, and I get breathless more often. I’m seeing my lung consultant at the end of December so we’ll see what he has to say.

I had COVID about 5 1/2 weeks ago. A month later I had bad asthma flare ups. These have now settled down with a week of Prednisolone but when I cough, it sounds just the same as COVID. Speaking to GP later today about it as heart rate also went berserk for a bit. I have AF too and had catheter ablation in July but no follow up yet.

I have AF very similar symptoms to you

Sometimes it's difficult to work out what's causing the breathlessness. I think I have been much better since the ablation. xx Moy

Nothing conclusive really. It's all still in the realms of 'maybe'. The cough remains and again today I had to reach swiftly for the Ventolin for no obvious reason. The cough still has COVID overtones to me! xx Moy

yep my breathlessness doing simple tasks like carrying my shopping was never a problem before covid

My cough has an unusual sound to it, has yours?

mines strange can’t shift it constant for say 5 weeks then it goes my real problem is breathing I just don’t understand how I walk 6 miles with no issue then another day just going around the supermarket is a struggle so much so I hide my issues or just a long phone call makes me breathless and I’m embarrassed on the phone

Hmm! As my AF became more frequent, so did my breathlessness and also leg swelling. My GP prescribed Furosemide for the swelling but explained that my heart was clearly not pumping efficiently but that hopefully the ablation would sort that out.I have been much less breathless since having it done.

However, with COVID back in the mix I seem to have lost a bit of ground.

I couldn't walk 6 miles, though, even before COVID, so your issue seems more extreme to me given such a huge difference in what you can do sometimes and not others.

I think I would be pursuing cardiology, but bear in mind that if some little b****r gets into your lungs to have a party, all sorts of effects can happen, especially the breathlessness.

I'm no help at all really, am I?!

Wish I'd got that magic wand. I ask Santa for it every year but it clearly doesn't fit down the chimney!

All the best, Moy xx

Definitely i had covid in February it was really bad . But after it my breathing hasn't really been the same and my asthma flares are much stronger and more painful my doctor told me it was from the covid and that they are seeing this alot more . He is very supportive with my flare ups and advises me well what I should do.Unfortunately he doesn't know if it will settle down or get worse as research is still being done on the long-term affects of covid.

Make sure you have a rescue pack and if in doubt call for support. 😉
