Covid Autumn Booster

Hi everyone, much to my surprise I received a message yesterday inviting me to book my Covid booster which I have done. I knew I would be invited but it's the speed. I wasn't eligible to have a booster in the Spring. My husband hasn't heard anything and he's older so I wondered if here they are vaccinating those previously on the shielding list. Whatever I'm very pleased. Jo

I think its just the promised autumn booster for everyone LizPat. I had an NHS text too & immediately booked my appointment. The appointments began almost immediately but were completely booked upso I took the first available at 7pm on 28th September!

No I understand it's what we were expecting, I just wanted to understand who was receiving invites. I assumed it would be over 80s and 70s first. This is why I was surprised, I've never been called at the beginning of the tranche but pleased anyway!

My husband received a text and it explained to book and he would receive his covid booster and flu vaccination at the same time. He was previously on the shielding list

That's interesting isn't it, different areas doing it in different ways. We've had no mention of flu vaccine.

Our surgery has invited husband and me to have a flu jab- in October. Nothing so far about covid. Hope I can get both done sooner than that.

never been invited yet. my first ever was done by the emergency team calling here. as my surname begins with W So now I give up and just wait for the queue to clear and pop in when they are not busy . always worked so far. Not open today .
