Last Day

Well today was my last day at college lots of hugs and feel sad but the good news I passed the dreaded maths paper at last. Going to centre parks with my nan next week so looking forward to that .Will then start to look at volunteering to see what I can cope with doing .Hope you are all keeping as well as you can and enjoying the sunshine I find it more difficult when to hot as it tires me out even more than usual even fell asleep on grass on college trip to New forest yesterday most embarrassing at least they didn't leave me there lol.

Well done you, I was asleep once on a college clinical placement, a very large Psychiatric hospital of about 1000 beds, I was in the Nursing Home dead to the world, when they had a fire practice with three county fire engines, bells and whistles every where. When I pootled down to breakfast the next morning, I was informed that I had burnt to death, as even a large hand bell being rung up and down my corridor had not been enough to wake me up. Very embarrassing 😱🤣

Dear Sorrel 🤣🤣🤣It was probably me starting the fire alarm…I managed to blow up two microwaves within a week at one nursing home I worked in 😳😱

Dare I ask, what did you do to them? I only ask, because I am going to be using a microwave for the first time soon, would like to avoid those pitfalls!!

The first time I accidentally put a gold rimmed plate in to warm something up on…really avoid doing that!!! And the second time, I accidentally left the tin foil on top of something to reheat (I have no idea why I did that because it’s another definite no no!!!) Cling film’s fine but definitely nothing metallic!!! 😳

Yea, it’s kind of weird saying bye bye at the end of college isn’t it. But your good friends you’ll keep in touch with! And new friends and opportunities in life will come your way! I hope you find something you really enjoy to do voluntarily soon!

How are the driving lessons going? …I’m sure you mentioned driving lessons at some point?

oh well done you Im a failure at maths & dont mind admitting it I got a near enough fail at school & wierdly enough I did a computer accounts course using SAGE when it was first out & I got a first class pass

I have a natural ability to speak other languages

Well done for passing your maths exam! I was 27 before I passed my GCSE 🤣. As for falling asleep - I did it in the University library STANDING UP! It was the end of a long, busy Open University summer school week and we had to go for a 'library tour'. I just couldn't keep my eyes open, so I leaned against one of the book shelves and that was it! I was out like a light. I could never understand how I remained standing, but it seems I was gone for quite a few minutes before one of the other students woke me up because we were moving on. So don't be embarrassed about your nap - as you say, at least they didn't leave you there!

I hope you enjoy Centre Parcs and then get some good volunteering options to choose from. It's an excellent way of working out what might suit you when you're ready to take on paid employment.

Well done on the maths. I never passed one maths exam in my whole time at Grammar School but at college sailed through bookkeeping and commercial arithmetic and every job I had was in accounts offices.
