Writing about Wales, reminded me that one route we liked took us through village in Shropshire called Knockin. First time we lead the group through there, think you can guess comments over bike radios as we passed The Knockin Shop!! Jean x

KNOCKIN
Very good Jean. Xx😂💕
Didn't any of your members call in for souvenirs? 😜
😂😂😂
They could sell postcards!
Yes happy days. I used to be a delivery driver in the Midlands and we used to have a customer in Bala Lake. That we went to at least 2 times a week so I used to use the Shrewsbury bypass follow the A5 to Nesscliffe. And then branch off to Knockin. Used to use the post office and general store in the village and go over the mountain route down into Bala Lake
Know Lake Bala well, use to have picnic on bench at end of lake, then after RAF low flight towards us over lake, go one of several maintain routes to Lake Vernwy, and so different route home. Lovely scenery and happy days.
Yes most certainly must do the journey again some time soon. Take care Brian
Would love to, but because of recent bad lungs etc, think it’s unlikely! Have to be content with happy memories. Best regards, Jean x
Sorry to hear this Jean. I also have severe copd. But I am fine walking around on the flat it's just hills and stairs that get me. Hope you have had all the help available ie Pulmonary rehabilitation and your inhalers assessed on a regular basis too. I have a car. So can get around to different places and enjoy a break. Take care love. Hope your at least enjoying the sunshine and can sit out in it. Brian
Hi Brian, I was born in 1935 with PCD, Kartegeners syndrome, see site on here. I’ve had bronchiectasis most of my life, but it wasn’t diagnosed until I was 32 by clever consultant when I told him knew heart on wrong side, and had bad chest problems, said he he thought he had read about this, and would do research, no on line help then! Most babies usually died, and I was luck to survive particularly during war when went to bed every night in cold damp air raid shelter. Recently Found best consultation in area by paying to look on line at specialties and interests, found good useful one, who immediately she saw me back in 2019 gave me Nebuliser, and Aerobika. I Nebulise twice daily for hour, then have to sterilise equipment and do postural drainage, it all takes lot of time, and as widow living alone without help, I’m busy! NHS specification for PCD Says I should get respiratory physio, never had it, so couple of years ago when really ill, found private physio I pay to come Monday’s and Fridays, she does very good job. Know that if I lived in London, I would get it on nhs. shows there’s lot of levelling up to be done. That’s my story, hope you managing well. Best regards, Jean
