Good morning.Just wanted to share a little tip with you about your inhalers.

When I was in hospital in Canada I was given an Aero Chamber with a mask. If you don't have one and find it difficult to use your inhalers properly I really recommend you ask your GP to supply one, it makes taking your inhalers so much easier and you can breath in and out to get the most of your treatment.

I have two purdey. I have on upstairs next to my bed and one downstairs. I find them excellent in the event of an asthma attack or to ward one off 😁

They make taking your Inhaler so much easier. Good luck if you have more than one Inhaler as for one for each, not good to use on both. Keep well.

The escalation is like thisSimple handheld inhalers

Simple inhalers with a spacer/chamber

Nebuliser

After that for me it is usually the emergency room for steroid injections

Hi there, I don't quite understand your reply. Do you mean you can't use spacers due to infection ??. I wash mine out with anti vac every week, I don't have any problems. Please keep well.

That’s my routine too .

Trouble is last few weeks I have become more reliant on nebuliser , more breathless , more panicky .

Went to GP , just offered different inhaler two days time .

Ended up A and E , just given antibiotics as sinus infection …but O2 levels OK so no other help given . Still breathless .

Can’t get health professionals to understand O2 levels can be ok but still breathless

Oh I am just the same, my Respiratory specialist said I am on best inhalers Trimbow and Salamol, I am also on portable oxygen, I still get breathless eating, getting showered, getting dressed almost everything, so I do sympathise with you, I only have 40% lung function. Look after yourself

I also get breathless doing the same things that you do and also on portable oxygen..2L during exertion. I live in the US and am taking Breztri twice a day and Levalbuterol rescue inhaler as well as Azithromycin on M, W and Fri's

Hi preith17022. Your inhalers are different than ours in UK, I haven't heard of those ones, when I had to go to Emergency while visiting my family in Canada, the hospital put me on a Ventalin Inhaler which is not the same as they have here, but was OK. I wish you well,

Hi

I already use a chamber, a larger one with mouthpiece for at home and a small one with mouthpiece for when I’m out, supplied by NHS

Take care

Spacers really help to get the medicine to the lungs and stop the thrush. I've used one for years

Hi yes I have used spacer for a long time, but only found out about the face mask one while hospitalised in Canada, I prefer it as I only have limited lung function I can actually get my meds into my lungs with this. Wash it out regularly no problems. Keep well.

Think I would ask, strange 🤔. Helps more than hinders. I find it hard to inhale properly without mine.

I used to be on Symbicort, was great at first so easy to use I thought. But hospital changed mine to Trimbow which is helping me more. Keep well.
