Sorry my post was not clear - meant to say am having difficulty when using as it is prescribed - dont have the air available to take the required deep breath and wondered if anybody else has this problem and if anyone was using a spacer

I would say try it if it will fit your spacer. I haven't had this particular inhaler but years ago had spiriva which I think comes in a similar container and used that with a spacer with no problems. The only inhalers that can't be used with a spacer are powder inhalers.

I think you will find that Spiolto Respimat is not designed to be used with a spacer unfortunately? You may require another dual bronchodiltor without the steroid content instead.

Not sure that one Can be used with a Spacer. I do know my Spiriva can't.

Two types of Spireva, one the pop the pill type and the other (which I use) can be used with a spacer - called Spireva Respimat.

I use mine without a spacer and have never been advised it can be used with a spacer when instructed on using it. That isn’t to say it can’t be either. There is an insert that explains how to use it and the side effects and there is usually a phone number on the leaflet if you have any questions so think I would give them a call. From my experience it is one of the easier inhalers to use as it does not require a real strong inhalation to get the medication into your lungs. Are you not able to inhale for 3 or 4 continuous seconds? It does not require a real strong inhalation like a powder inhaler but rather a very gentle inhalation. I also generally wait a few minutes between the two inhalations to give the first inhalation a little chance to start opening your airways so the second inhalation can get deeper into your lungs.

Not what you're looking for?
