Hi everyone. Does anyone have a battery back up generator for their oxygen generator in case there is a power cut? If so which do you recommend.

Pauline,All oxygen concentrators supplied by the Nhs should come with a back up cylinder in case of a power cut and on average should last you long enough until power is restored, however the companys have an emergency contact number if you think you may have a problem with supply.

Hi, like the others I have a large back-up cylinder too. I wouldn’t feel confident having a battery back- up in case it wasn’t fully charged should I need it. Joy x

I have a big cylinder which should last seventeen hours if the machine stopped working.

Hi, I have a back-up power supply which I believe will do the job for a few hours. Mine is a 250W device but larger battery devices exist up to at least 520W. You can check these out at ups centre.co.uk Good luck.

From what I remember we let the electric company know that my Husband was a special need person as he had IPF. I think they give you information of how you can get help. If that’s any help for you.
