I ended up saving for silk filled ones, seem to hold less allergens, and the thin version is cooling in the hotter weather.

I just use anti allergy pillows and duvets seems to work fine for me. I notice a difference if stay anywhere that don't use anti allergy bedding

I have a number of issues, and spend most of the day and all of the night in my multi-positional Lay-Z -Boy leather recliner, and use no pillow at all . I cannot readily breathe when in a prone position so I I have not laid on a sofa or in a bed for almost 10 years now. Again try an all- leather , no synthetics recliner, with legs raised and upper torso tilted slightly back 35-40%. All Best Wishes, judg69

Don't use feather and down or anything like that as it can trigger asthma attacks. I use a microfibre one which is very warm but non allegenic. Wash all your bedding and night clothes at a minimum of 60 degrees to kill dust mites which are another common trigger.

Half the weight of old pillows can be dust mites so make sure to either wash them frequently or replace after 6 - months. I have asthma as well as copd.

I’ve found wool pillows and duvets are the best for me. Expensive though. 😔

I invested in a latex mattress (not memory foam) as they dont have dust mites and is cool in the summer. I have a loose wool filled pillow that i can either add or take away bulk, I open it and put it in the sun on good days to kill any germs. I have anti allergy summer and winter quilts that goes to the launderette at the end of every season. The windows are opened everyday and on good days I try to put the duvet on the washing line for a blow. Keeping the dust down in the bedroom is the hardest x

Hi Homer, I suffer with both so I buy hyperallergenic pillows and duvets. They work for me and my allergies to dust mite seem a whole lot better than before. Take care, Maximonkey

I go for hypoallergenic pillows and duvets,as I’m allergic to feathers.I give them a shake regularly,

I bought a side sleeper pillow from Dunelm, which helps.,I also bought pillow protectors, hopefully it keeps the dust out of the pillows.

We had a wool one,but it was problematic.

It said it was dry clean only.

The dry cleaners eased it and it shrunk.

I got full compensation,so bought a polyester quilt

Wool or silk duvets - we have been using silk for over 20 years, (not the same ones!) - as they are both natural and recommended for people who have chest problems - cool in summer & warm in winter - bit more expensive than the microfibre ones, but well worth it. Have just purchased wool ones for another bed. Can buy from many places including John Lewis.

I have a wool mattress and use a silk pillow case on a hypoallergenic pillow made by Hotel. I have a similar duvet and use pure cotton duvet covers from JL. Seems ok! Wash on a high temperature, and clean the room regularly to remove any dust.
