At least you managed to cook the dinner. Thank goodness for that. Glad youβve had a good day. Xxx
Sods law really we sometimes have the odd power cut in winter but it went off today ,π€£π€£π€£ my dad say eating his dinner and couldn't see what he was eating he said oh this meats lovely I said yes marvelous how cat tastes π€£π€£π€£
To top that the funeral planners that called yesterday called again today but the head of department complaining about my attitude to his staff member I was insensitive to him so I let rip told him they were insensitive to people who have terminal or serious illness and causing them distress and asked where the information came from he went quiet and then said but I was insensitive i told him I was reporting his company to ofcom and he and staff could burn in the pits of hell . π€£ I was not impressed
Wow quite the time lately. What's your temperature been like there?
Hit 46 between two and five
At least you could eat your dinner, better than half way through cooking it π
Good point,ππππ
Well just checked on my dad fast asleep and snoring π so just grabbed a couple of bits going out down to beach on my quad Go sit and listen to the sea for a bit . Nice when you can do that I guess π
Are you going for another dip in the sea as well Dave. Enjoy whatever you do ππ¦ππββοΈπββοΈ

Oh my mouth is watering!! I love lamb in any form.
Lamb was beautiful and the remaining lamb is going in a curry if I feel up to it
Oooh yes, our sort of use up dinner!!
Always the best use of good meat , hey there is a thought I wonder if they could make a curry out of me when I go , I'm halfway decent meat π€£π€£π€£π€£
At least youβd got your delicious sounding dinner cooked. I remember when I lived in a more rural part of England and we were forever having power cuts, the two most memorable were in the middle of my wedding reception in my mum and dadβs house - certainly broke the ice between both sides of the family, and the second time when I was cooking Christmas dinner for my parents and new in laws!
Always seems to happen at inopertune times ,ππ
π
Making a nice curry with the leftover lamb my Greek friends down taverna love my Currys and sit down with taverna owner and they all share it ππ
If i ever get to Rhodes you'll find me on your doorstep looking hungry. It's ages since I did a roast. Mind you supermarket meat is hardly worth roasting. We used to have proper butchers here once who give advice on using cheaper cuts to impoverished young marrieds.π
,π€£ my butcher here is fantastic and the meat is always fresh , good prices and quality too
Your meal sounds deliciousI and 'm glad your day was mostly good. Dont rush things after that worrying experience you had,Do you know when one is coming on?
Unfortunately here you have no idea they call you on the day so expect you to obviously be there because I'm looking after him , I said today to the consulate because they gave me a call regarding something else about my health condition my dad would benefit from being in a proper home where he would get around the clock care

I'm trying to do my best for my dad and have hit the point of admitting I can't carry on
Time to take things in hand. Write down your options and go from there. It must be difficult living in Rhodes but would it help talking to your doctor?
Spoke with doctor last year put me on anti depressants told him politely where to place them , π€£π€£ my lungs heart brain kidneys spine leg large hernia behind bellybutton so got a lot going on . It's no easy task dealing with everything including my dad but do all I can until it gets sorted out with welfare , for first time in five years I'm in a good place there is a personal reason for this but like I said it is personal but I have a new burst of energy and have a real purpose and I'm so proud and humble to what as brought this together .there you go stuff I kept inside never seen the light of day even on here until now .π
I can sense your newly found zest and energy Davey. However, although you feel you are in a good place you have some life changing decisions to make. Firstly, your father's welfare and, importantly, your current health problems and well being. You speak with confidence so while you are able it would be a good thing to work out what would be best for you both - this would mean working out short term and long term plans which would also mean taking into consideration the finances of you both. Perhaps you could discuss these matters with your father and maybe a close friend or welfare officer. Difficult decisions we all face at some time in our lives?Keep your spirits up and go for it.
Good luck.
Thank you for your advice and will act on it π
