For my friends who ask me about my Positivity.

I have a vision board which I write what I want to achieve. Its the first thing I see when I wake up every morning.

My goal at present is to get back in my car after I had an accident and drive it. It has caused me a lot of stress and anxiety

At present we have a courtesy car which unfortunately is not up to the standard of my BMW and has no power.

Hopefully my car will be returned today looking as good as new. The first thing is for me to get behind the wheel and drive it to overcome my fears .

I have a few other achievements on my board which I will get through but am concentrating on driving my car first

if you see me on the road, keep your distance lol 🚙🚙🚙🤣🤣

Read the books it will change your outlook on life and bring Positivity. Keep away from Negative people as they will bring you down.

good luck .hope you have a lovely day.xxSheila 🚙💕🚙⚘🤣

Good luck with the driving. You're different from me- I'd be scared of a car with too much poke. I bet you'll be fine. Then you can get on with the other things on your list. My to do list is mainly silly little things like put out the bins, but I'd forget them without a list.😃😃🤞🤞👍👍🏁🏁

My husband bought me a car that if I was overtaking a bus or lorry and another vehicle came suddenly towards me, I would have the power to put my foot down and get safely past .This Courtesy car is a nightmare havent driven it as my husband says it's a deathtrap. He only has size 7feet but his foot covers two pedals as they are too close together. Also there is no power as very small engine.

I have had BMW's for over 40 yrs so absolutely love them. My car now is a BMW X I series sport ,not too big but bigger than a saloon.

Hoping to have it back today but still nervous as I drove straight into my up and over garage door. . The door was closed and swung back on itself hitting my car .I panicked and hit the accelerator which resulted in me going straight through the garage and hitting a fridge on the back wall. The garage door was on top of the car .The scariest part was it slid up the bonnet up over the windscreen .I really thought it was coming through the windscreen and decapitate me. I sat there for ages unable to move ,and grateful I wasnt hurt .

My husband has had an electric garage door fitted now so I can open it and drive straight in

Well hopefully I'll be able to face the garage and sit back in the car .I'm determined as need my independence.

xxSheila 🚙🚙🚙👍🙌💕⚘

It is very logical to have a car with plenty of power in reserve. I'm the coward stuck behind dust carts and buses, no doubt annoying all the traffic piling up behind me. 😂 Being unable to drive much during lockdown did not do my driving skills a lot of good. I'm gradually trying to get them back, but the roads seem a lot busier than they did. I'm glad it was only the fridge which was written off and that you were not hurt. Sounds a really frightening experience. I hoped you would be posting tonight to say that you had a good outing in your rejuvenated car. Fingers crossed for tomorrow. xxx Chris

Hope you get behind the wheel of your BMW and enjoy driving again!! I am sure you were very traumatized by your accident but with your positive attitude you will do fine. I know what you mean about the confidence of having a car with power... my Saab was my favorite car... turbo!!! When I needed the power it was there! Enjoy driving again... sending positive vibes to you!!

I sure agree with you. Keeping a positive view and never giving up is part of my daily life also. You make mention of driving a vehicle. Geez, I would be happy to walk around my house outside just one time, let alone drive again. If I could drive, I would head for the Casino. LOL! I always have good luck there.

Hope you can get back your car and have a blast!

You are so right, it was your positivity that inspired me when I was first put on oxygen, I was so down about it but reading your posts gave me the incentive to think positive about it instead of negative, I had an appointment today for a review on my oxygen levels & all was good, yours ears may have been burning as I told the nurse about you, obviously with the heat at the moment exercising is harder but not impossible, little & often, small amounts are better than none at all , onwards & upwards 😃💐🌹xx

garshe profile image
garshe in reply toLoopylorre

So pleased you had good results on your oxygen levels. It's a lovely feeling hearing good news. Hope you continue to improve. I was on oxygen 16hrs a day during Lockdown but persevered and now only have it now and then. Small steps first then build up .I never rush ,I walk at my own pace and if I feel short of breath, I stop and rest and breathe in through my nose. Sometimes I sit down as theres no rush ,then I can continue and carry on with my shopping. I am out hours but not walking all the time, I rest when needed. Enjoy your day and think of me at 2.30pm in the dentist chair in this heat. Hopefully will be out of there by 3pm so that's my thought lol xxSheila 😁😬🥰💕👍

Loopylorre profile image
Loopylorre in reply togarshe

Oh good luck at the dentist! Not a good day for it in this heat, let’s hope for good air con! I’m not sure if it’ll work like that for me with the oxygen as my levels drop when I’m doing anything & from what she said today there doesn’t seem to be a way of improving it, but here’s hoping, I’d like to think it can be improved, I do the same as you, rest as & when necessary when out & about, just trying to juggle using the oxygen, having my handbag & still being able to use my hands, the oxygen I have is more or less handbag size but obviously the battery is what makes it heavy, I ordered a curmio backpack but it was very big, but I might have to just put up with it, ordered a small backpack to put it in but after a little while it got very hot so clearly it needs to have the open mesh for it to breathe so to speak, but I’ll persevere & keep looking, the nurse said today no doubt there’ll be a smaller version at some point, let’s hope it’s soon! 😂 take care, keep giving us your positive vibes! 😊💐🌻 xx

Think Positive and vision a good outcome. Good luck. I have a visit to the dentist today not looking forward as it's at 2.30pm and in this heat a nightmare, but thinking Positive and by 3pm I'll be put on there.

Still no news on my car status 93% complete so fingers crossed I'll get it back for the weekend.

Have a good day and I'm Positive all will be ok for you.

xxSheila 👍🤞💕

After over 50 yrs of driving ,I have had to part with my car this week. With my periodic memory problems it is no longer really safe for me to be on the roads. I have been incredibly sad about it but like with other situations I have had to accept it.As my daughter said yesterday ,"Mum,focus on the things you can do, not the things you can't do " Ah well.........Re The Secret,I read it years ago on the recommendation of my son. I think I need to read it again!

I gave up driving several years ago when anxiety was getting the better of me and I decided that I really wasn't fit to be behind the wheel. I have got used to it but occasionally miss the days I used to get in the car and go without giving it a second thought.

garshe profile image
garshe in reply toAingeful

Thats my Motto Sheila, concentrate on what you can do not what you cant. I am determined to get back in the driving seat as I know it will be hard I am having flashbacks of the car hitting the garage door and it ending up on the roof. I was sitting there for ages unable to move and couldnt believe I was ok. Sorry you are unable to drive but theres always a Positive ,sit there and enjoy being driven around

Have a lovely day xxSheila 😬🥰💕⚘
