I also had this delivered today as well. I always get copied in to my clinic letters.

Unfortunately I can't read the letter! I hope it's good news? xx

Zooming in to 200% will make it readable. The site resizes photos and also lowers the resolution a little as well when uploaded.

Seems reasonably encouraging, I hope it continues that way. Thinking of you. Peter (husband) had a follow up letter from Gloucestershire hospital yesterday saying his blood test for CEA was clear following bowel cancer surgery in 2018. He has to do a blood test for Cardiff soon as a follow up for the prostate cancer he was treated for in 2016. PSA has been rising a tiny bit but on the whole he is keeping well.

So glad to read your bowels are normal never mind your knackered lungs !

I have yet to have the appointment for the Sigmoidoscopy, I am hoping it is just a polyp that they find and that can be snipped out there and then.

Oh lord, sorry. Thought it was just the general medical obsession with poo and wee. Hope all goes well.

I wonder why the sigmoidoscopy wasn't done when previously requested? At least they should be onto it now. As you said to Angelagone, if it's a polyp, they may be able to remove it straight away. Fingers crossed for that to be the case. Other news looks good! xx Moy

When my Oncologist looked for it on their system he found his own clinic letter with the referral from last year and I showed him the required blood test results on my own hospital records.

He drew a blank he said "it seems to have been purged from the system" of course, no explanation as to why, A computer crash/accidental deletion even Covid rules, who knows. The bowel cancer screening, the stick test, came back as negative a couple of months ago, so no direct worry there.

Ah, the good old FIT test, I presume. I had to repeat mine because it said, 'No faeces on the stick.' So I'd love to know where that went! Lol! It was certainly there when I sent it! Maybe someone used it to stir their tea. Ugh!

It's good that it came back clear for you as I believe it's a very good indicator of any need for concern.

So strange that the other info was 'purged from the system' but knowing that my own computer can lose stuff from time to time, I suppose it shouldn't be such a surprise.

Yes correct "FIT test".

Lol "Maybe someone used it to stir their tea"

Interesting that it is only the one sample now. Rather than smearing several samples onto widows in a card.

Oh, it is from the cancer side.

The Radiological surveillance of multiple areas of scarring and the evolving left upper lobe post treatment change is of slight concern. As usual this info comes after the appointment so I have to wait until next year to ask just what this actually means, as in, does this mean that the fibrosis/scarring is advancing? I accept that 'it is what it is' and cannot/will not complain as it is the price paid to cure the cancer, but it is just nice to know. If I had been fit for surgery they would have probably taken most of the lobe out anyway.
