At least you know now. Best wishes to you. Xxx
Sorry I missed your earlier post.I am interested in your story. How were the PEs diagnosed? In some ways you are lucky, because they can go undetected. I would love to know a little more. You are presumably on blood thinners and anti-coagulants? And if they were idiopathic then you will be on them for a long time.
Did you end up in A&E? You presumably had a CT Pulmonary Angiogram?
Sorry to be so nosy but it is subject close to my heart — literally!!
All the best
Kate x
Hi Kate,Briefly,
I became short of breath even when walking from one room to another.
I was so concerned I went my local A&E and the process of investigation began.
I have had a Ct scan, Ecg and chest x_ray.
I am in hospital now being injected with clot busting drugs and inhaling oxygen.
Hopefully it will all be successfull.
Cheers ebikester
Wow, so glad you went to A & E and you are now being treated, hope you feel better soon x
Best wishes- get well soon.
The good new, They found the problem the bad news.. there is NO bad news
I had the same eexperience when I had a second PE. I just ran out of breath when I went shopping and had to rest, so went to doctor who did a dedimer test and then ordered an ambulance for me immediately. The hospital then told me i had multiple clots in both lungs. The first time I had PE was 10 yrs previously and then had extreme pain in upper back . No pain the second time so PE didn't occur to me. Couldnt attribute this to any cause whereas the first was due to having a broken leg.
