Update to lobectomy

Hello everyone

Thank you all so much for your support and encouragement recently. I am now 2 weeks post lobectomy and all is going very well. Has been a good straightforward recovery! I now await full results from the hospital telling me more about type of cancer spread etc. That should be in a week or so. Anyway good it was caught early! Hopefully no more treatment required just follow ups.

So pleased that your lobectomy went well and that you are having a good recovery. Not long to wait for the results. Thankfully it was caught early so every reason to feel optimistic. Take it easy and give your body time to recover. My first year after the surgery I had follow ups every 3 months for two years then every four months and am now on 6 monthly checkups, they really do keep an eye on you, I certainly have no complaints about the aftercare. Best wishes and take care, fingers crossed for your results. xx
