Hi all, just got another appointment this morning and was wondering if its is normal procedure to be called back in for another x ray 4 weeks from my last one. Initially I got an appointment a few days after my first discharge but was then readmitted a week later for more iv antibiotics. Just a bit concerned now as why they are calling me back so soon... If they would have found anything more serious would they have had to have told me there and then? Or would they see if it cleared up first.

X Ray 4 weeks on.
If there's any infection I guess they may do a further X-ray to see how it's moving on. Ask when you go, and make sure you see doctor to go exactly what's on the X-ray.
Thank you x
I too suffer with pulmonary issues, in fact was just in the ER on Friday .They gave me anti biotic in a shot, and a Z pack for home with the diagnosis of pneumonia!! They sent me home at 3am in 0.4 degrees...I felt no better when I woke on Sat..I had some left over prednisone from my last bout and I took the 1st round w the zithromax in a few hours, I was feeling much better. I hope this can help someone out there !!

Hello Francis1234, as you have been admitted to hospital a couple of times I would think the xray would be precautionary as your chest problems are ongoing at present. But you should ask the dr for more info as speaking from experience they don't always tell all and sometimes you need to know if it is just precautionary or maybe you need more treatment. Take care, remember this is the time of year for more infections than usual especially with all the damp and cold weather we have had. Best wishes for a speedy recovery back to your normal health status. x
Morning I have slept in this morning first good sleep for weeks. After my pneumonia I had an xray 6 weeks after discharge followed swiftly by a CT scan. It's good your getting another xray but I find its not easy asking about the result (want to know but don't) but information helps deal with problems. Hope all goes well. Jane.
Thanks for all your reply guys! Spoke to my GP this morning and he put my fears about X-ray in the bin. Said he couldn’t hear any more wheezing so gave chest all clear. 3 days left on doxycycline and he said that will be the last course needed. Oxygen and heart rate staying within reasonable levels for last two days. Still feeling like boiled muck but a lot better in general. Looking forward to getting in the gym and becoming a fit, healthier man.
