Hello and welcome to this forum. What is the time scale of you problems? How long ago were your PEs? The vast majority of people who have PEs make a full recovery. About 98%. Our bodies are brilliant at coping with them and immediately get to work to remove the clots. During that time patients are likely to be breathless and have chest pain. However in rare cases there is lasting damage. That is why it is important to know the history. Where are you now? Keep pushing your doctors for more answers. All the best

I had the P.E for three days then returned to the hospital they said it was just in time. My doctor is sure it is heart but I am sure its lungs with the cough.

I cannot really diagnose but if after that time you are still experiencing symptoms then I think you should try to get your doctor to take your concerns seriously.Let us know how things go.

I am not a doctor but problems with the heart can mean that fluid builds up in the lungs (causing the cough). This happened to my mum who was also on water tablets. If you are not satisfied with your diagnosis ask for another opinion.
