Day 6 & my circadian rhythms aren’t normal. I’m exhausted, go to sleep then 1 hour later seem to feel like an electrical charge that wakes me with palpitations It’s scary. I drink water, apply a cool flannel and try to calm down. It’s always a relief when I’ve made it through the night.

Not sure you have posted in the right place for this MsPJ.

However I would be speaking to your consultant who carried out your recent surgery and your GP.

Perhaps check out this HU community: healthunlocked.com/sleep-ma...

Hope you are soon feeling better.

I hope your surgery went well. Anaesthesia and surgery can take a long time to recover from. Hopefully things will start to improve for you soon.

Hello MsPJ, 👋😊

I think you usually post on a cancer forum, but I wanted to say welcome to our forum as I don't think I've seen you before💓. I had a transplant over a year ago and I can relate to the "jolt" awakenings. Very unpleasant. But mostly due to the trauma your body has sustained plus all the medication in your system. Please just take it easy a day at a time. It gets better slowly.

Kind regards,

Cas xx 🍀🌷🌿

It took me about two weeks to come through the first shock state after a major operation. Hope your symptoms start to improve quickly.
