COPD BENEFITS ENTITLEMENT
You are best off speaking to one of the administrators on here to help advise. You. Hope you get the answer you want. Have a good afternoon and take care 😊 Bernadette and Jack 🐕 xxxx
Hi. I have copd. Try universal credit you may be entitled because if low income ? If that's the case) do you have a carer ie partner/ parent/sister or brother.even they work and you have some help from them. My hubby is carer for me. If your breathing is not good try pip. But only talk about your bad days. But hey advice ring citizens advice or Age uk. Or speak to admon on this site.
The criteria for getting PIP is not what illness you have but how it affects you. Have a look on the Gov.UK site for information on how to apply for it.
If under 65 you may be able to claim PIP if over then Attendance Allowance. Depends on how your COPD affects you what help you need and how far you can walk before becoming breathless so think of a worse day scenario when filling out forms. The fact you are working makes no difference. I use to have PIP at highest amounts while working full time so go for it
The information others have said I useful. I think that British Lung Foundation has a benefits advisor on their helpline
