I'm suffering from chest pain and tightening in my chest, this only happens few hours after i wake up and move around the house or come back from outside. the more physical activity i do, the worst the tightening in my chest gets, i usually have to constantly burp to release a bit of pressure in my chest. i have had this after nearly 16 days of coughing with too much mucus, i dont know if that was the coronavirus or something else, the testing wasnt available those days, so i just had to stay isolated in home.
i have always being diagnosed with acute myocarditis last year.
this tightening in my chest has been there with me for more than a month, i was thinking it will go by itself but it doesn't seem too. i have described this to my GP and he kept giving me Cocodamol and ibuprofen. they are only temporary pain relief and they are not helping to know whats wrong with me. Could anybody help me or advice me please ? i dont know what to do especially the GP doesnt seem is willing to help.
Thank you

I do think that your heart needs looking at. Given that you had acute cardiomylitis and another infection since, which could have affected your heart, I cannot imgine what your GP is doing. They should definitely not be ignoring it. Nag nag and bother bother until this is investigated.
I’m afraid that we do have to be pro active in the interest of our own health.
Do you take any inhalers John? If its lung / airways related perhaps use your ventolin inhaler before activity and on rising this may help the tightening of chest. Also drink plenty of water to help clear the mucus.
The other thing that comes to mind (bearing in mind non here are medical doctors including myself) is silent reflux, you could look that up on the NHS website to see if your symptoms match.
Definitely go back to your doctor if symptoms persist and keep going back. Perhaps you can speak with another doctor at the same surgery and say that after checking NHS site you think maybe its this or other or similar symptoms to and can you be checked for that.
Hi . I get this really tight chest too . Have had it for months . I was also told to take ibuprofen after having a check up at a&e , heart ok , blood ok . So I think it's something that happens to some of us . Some days worse than others , I know that doesn't help you much , hope you have better luck than me finding something that helps , 🤗🤗
Its sounds same to me. I hope for us to get some solution, as this stopped me from working because whenever I do light physical activity it gets worse.
