Chase, I really don’t know what you want from the group here? You say you want reassurance, but every post has been met with exactly that and it doesn’t seem to make any difference. Knowledgeable, very experienced individuals reply to tell you that the PDA you had as a baby is not of concern, and that the issue here is entirely your chronic and clearly quite debilitating anxiety. Perhaps rather than keep posting the same thing over and over you could print off the replies, and whenever you feel the need for reassurance, read through them all again? Regardless of that, I’m not normally this blunt, but I am going to outright say at this point that you need to get a psychiatrist and/or a therapist, possibly some medication, and properly sort this out.

You have your whole life ahead of you, so to let this anxiety rule what you do for however many years you have ahead would be a huge shame and a terrible waste. You are worth more than you’re allowing yourself to be by continuing to let the anxiety win.

Edit: Because of it being you I assumed this was a BHF post. The lovely BLF gang here are not going to be able to help you anymore than those of us that have repeatedly tried over on the BHF, particularly when PDA is a cardiac concern.

Hi this is a lung site. Did you mean to put your post here? I know you have posted this on other sites too. Your doctors have all told you it isn't a problem. If you can't believe medical professionals and answers from your peers this isn't a pda worry but you using it to focus your health anxiety on.

You need to go to your doctors and ask for help to deal with your health anxiety. It sounds like you might need counselling.

I had a cardiac birth defect, diagnosed and corrected when I was 17. I am now 77. If they have not suggested any surgery, or you have had surgery then you are ok. You really need to get treatment for your anxiety. Calling an ambulance for a panic attack is crying wolf. Speak to your GP and get some psychiatric help.

I had coarctation of the aorta, discovered when I had my medical for college in 1961. Stayed fit and well for years, had children. My only problem was high blood pressure which is well controlled. Not so good now, but I am 77! Enjoy your life and try not to worry

Many blessings xx

Try to get treatment for your anxiety. I wasted my first 13 adult years with depression through overthinking, and I've not been able to get those year back. Now I'm in my 60s, I'm trying to do the things I should have done in my 20s, and life is wonderful.
