Hi, I also have severe copd, and for me personally I find steam rooms and saunas help when I have used them. You could also try leaning over bowl of hot water With eucalyptus or menthol in, also helps me x

It may be good for temporary relief but damaging in the long run. The heat drives the inflammation and which in turn drives the COPD. I would suggest you to use it occasionally only if it helps with comorbid sinusitis.

I was told that Steam Rooms Harbour Bacteria which is not good for COPD sufferers. A Sauna may be OK unless someone else knows different.

Can I ask if you have read the rules for using the steam room, as the ones in our Gym includes something about people with breathing difficulties should not use the steam rooms? Can't remember exactly how it was phrased. I opened the door to it once....the heat and steam nearly did for me! Your experience could be quite different of course.
