I find steam good for nose. Not sure if it does anything for lungs. As I've said before on this forum, I've found my AeroBika the best thing to help me clear my lungs. xxx

I use Neil Rinse to rinse my nose with warm saline solution and find that helps a lot with postnasal drip and getting rid of mucous in my nose/sinuses.

I also make sure to drink a LOT of water to stay well hydrated every day. That makes my sticky stuff less sticky and much easier to get rid of.

Try Sterimar. And ask if you can nebulise saline. This has helped me. X

As cof-drop has said neilmed is the best for clearing sinuses and it’s what ENT docs recommend. Try sterimar too. Inhaling steam helps especially if it’s thick. Really important to stop it before it gets on lungs.

Thank you Mooka. I am also under Immunology for Panhypogamma but my levels are just too high for IVIG. So I continue with infections all the time.

I had my sinuses cleaned out at the same time I started on ivig. They found pseudonyms during the op which was the real game changer for me as it meant I got the right antibiotics. Before the op most of my infections started in my sinuses so really important to try and clear them out.

Yes sounds similar. It started My sinus- got sample in as was yellow but came back from the lab " nothing to report" . This then went to my lungs. Been struggling ever since. Immunology want a sample off my lungs but I can no longer shift and then breathing worsens again once not on full antibiotics and can feel stuck in lung . so then up on antibtics again. Round and round it goes. Thank you for this information none of which I was aware of.

I put a little Vicks into hot water when steaming or try menthol crystals be careful as they are strong and you only need a tiny amount. Sterimar is a good rinse to clean out your nose. If you want to dry it up take antihistamine x

I find the Vick burns my nose until it bleeds. But Sterimar will try. Thank you.

Try it in some hot water and breathe it in, it gets down lower in your lungs this way x
