If you are living in the UK, surprised you have not familiarized yourself with this information:

gov.uk/government/publicati...

scroll down for the list of those who are clinically extremely vulnerable.

Hope you are recovering well from the cancer op.

Hello Tarzy, I do hope you’re recovering well from your operation. Shielding is continuing until 1st August and then it seems we’re on our own.

You can go for a walk if you have any quiet areas around where you live. It’s really a decision for you to make it seems. If you have a family member or close friend, you could meet up with them outside and be socially distant.

I hope you feel able to leave your home and remain safe. Please take care. Xxxx

Really it depends where you live. If it's a village with space to safely distance it's just nice to be among people. If it's a busy city then you need to think hard. If is something in between like my town I've been walking the quiet streets through lock down, often down the middle of the roads - which were empty then. It's all change now, so many people are out and about we need to take even more care. If you can't wear a mask how about a visor? Good luck. P

I can totally understand that Tarzy. I'm so lucky not to have had to totally shield but I've walked many lonely miles in the past 4.5 months.

Those of us who can get out aresearch being so careful and vigilant xx

It’s so hard living on your own and being in lockdown I can’t help feeling so scared I’ve just got my little dog for company

Yes, I've become ridiculously tearful and emotional.

Mind you, I did a 400 Mike round trip to see my 'bubble' last weekend. It was absolutely wonderful. A 4 year old, a 9 month old who hadn't been anywhere apart from walks around the village fields with mum and dad. Longed to give my daighter a hug, didn't though. X

Hi Tarzy , I had the same thoughts due to my husbands health , so I contacted his consultant who talked it through with me and was great at outlining everything , it so helped to guide me in how to move forwards . It really helps to talk it through with your medical team . Have a positive recovery .

Write everything down in case you forget as the telephone consultations can be quite short. Good luck and keep us posted🙏

Would advise you to ask your Specialist nurse from McMillan. Been cancer free 16 months now and unfortunately chemo and radiotherapy have scarred my lungs a bit. Coping with the shortness of breath with daily breathing exercises.

Hi Tarzy was really pleasing to read your cancer free now. I've been in lockdown the same length of time as your self and many others. I have conaray Heart disease and COPD. The Letter I received informing me that on the first off August. I can meet up with my daughters and son and grandkids but must be wearing a mask and socially distance means I still can't have a hug with my family. Watching the news and seeing everyone on packed beaches Transport. And now the government as relaxed the rules more by opening pubs restaurants. Seems people like our self's are forgetting about
