Can't decide whether or not it's safe enough to get my hair cut. What do you all think? 🤔

Lockdown hair
I had mine done a couple of weeks ago and my hairdresser came in my house, as she always does. I was getting desperate and bit the bullet, I wore a mask the entire time and felt ok about it. I am not sure I would have done it had I had to go to a hair salon. X
I’ve had my hair done and felt very safe. I wore a mask and all the hairdressers wore shields. Only a few customers at a time. Ask your hairdresser what safety measures they have in place.
Good luck to you. Xxxx
I had mine done last week. Only one client at a time. Masks. Temperature taken on the pavement. Hand sanitiser. No face to face talking. No shampooing. No blow drying.
Felt very safe. Go for it.

I see a lot of hairdressers wearing only a face shield. It is not effective for the client. A shield is for the hairdresser to be protected against spray of respiratory particles and is not a substitute for masks.
Both the hairdresser and client should be wearing masks for reciprocal protection.
I went to my hairdresser last week. Felt reasonably safe. Had to wait to be let in. Just us two in the salon. Hand sanitizer and track and trace form completed. Masks worn. Mind you, the salon is very close to my house so no travelling.
I have just arranged to go to hairdressers on Friday. Am desperate to have hair cut! I HAVE arranged to be first customer in. Expect to be in and out within 10 mins.
Am going to get it cut very short so no rush to go back again!!
As long as they are taking appropriate precautions iwould thinkitwie okihadiet 2 weeks ago
Had first appointment,soobody aut.
It is your decision I teed stay safe
I had mine done as soon as the shop opened. I wore a mask and gloves and hairdressers had table set up with hand wash etc. Hairdresser wore large mask and gloves. Everything used was put straight in for wash and after I had finished whole area sprayed with disinfectant. That was a few weeks ago now and I am ok.
I have ummed and ahhed over it. I’m pretty desperate though so I’m booked in tomorrow. I walked by my hairdresser and it looks safe enough. I’m not having a wash or blow dry. I’ll wash at home and it’s just a wet cut so minimises my time inside the salon.
I've had mine done last week. Hairdresser and I both wore masks. Hand gel available and used too.
Hi cornerhouse ,
I also live in a corner house. 😊
Although I am in Japan, and not the U.K. I will throw in my two cents. I had my hair done about a month ago. When I got there they were wearing masks and face shields. They took my temperature and had me read through a list of symptoms to confirm I had none of them. And I had to sterilize my shoes. The shop is fairly large seating about fifteen, but their new policy is three people per session. I felt safe and I had no issues. I have booked in for next month too. If you are worried call ahead and ask about their safety procedures. xx 🙋🐕
I’m just letting mine grow! I don’t dye it so I’ll just end up with long hair for a while.
Hi, I had my hair cut yesterday. I thought I would be nervous about it, but I felt totally safe. I wore a mask, and my hairdresser wore a face shield. Everything was cleaned, and hand sanitizer offered. I washed my hair before going, and after the cut I came home and styled it myself. In fact I never like the way she blow dries, so I was happy to do it myself!
I had mine cut, grade 6 on top, grade 4 on the sides; about 2 weeks ago and guy who has come to my house for around 25+ years was excruciatingly careful, better safe than sorry he said, which fits the bill. Poor guy was more worried than I was as he hardly spoke a word, and he is type of guy who never shuts up. se7ven quid and he does a grand job, good lad Billy
Had mine cut on Monday. They have protocols to meet and I felt very safe. Btw my hairdresser has a relative or friend who is a mortitian and so her visor was so wrap round and very long. So she was ready for anything - embalming - anything. We settled for a cut and style.
Whatever you decide I hope you feel comfortable.

Did you go yet?
I think if your hairdresser works alone and you are the only other person in the salon, you could be safe.
My hairdresser hires space in a salon where 6-8 stylists work, I have not had a hair cut since March. Long hair now. I did email my hairdresser to ask what the situation was for me because of the situation and requirements I decided against.
Email or contact your hairdresser to see what the situation is.
best wishes
