Hi. I am wondering if anyone on here has tried this new salt filter fans . A friend of mines was bought one for her birthday and recommended it to me . I can buy one at a pharmacy for £129 the salt filter needs to be changed every 4 to 6 months costing £39 . It certainly would work out cheaper than going to the salt caves ! I was planning trying them out . I'd love to hear from anyone who has tried them to hear your experience with the fan .

Many thanks Mizzymac :)

I've had one since December and use it every night. Has definitely helped - no chest infections since getting it ( fingers crossed!), also I like its gentle hum from thefan.

That's great Iris99, I've to collect mines tomorrow from the chemist . I hope it works as I've been on the steroids since the beginning of the year can't seem to get of them ! I was hoping this might help me .

I wish this would help me but after being in Hospital for a month where a saline/salt solution was tried in a neutralizer I became much worse. Salt does not help all of us with this condition as I discovered. So check it out with your Doctor first. Best of luck.

Hi, Sorry to hear it wouldn't help you Hallentine47 . I use saline in my nebuliser so I think it will be ok with myself ! Fingers and toes crossed any way. You know i never even thought of discussing it with my doctor .
