Welcome to the forum William. I’ve been shielding with my husband Pete as I’m his carer. We’ve both been well and myself personally am in no rush to go shopping.

Stay safe. Xx🌈

Hi William and Welcome

I'm in week 12 of shielding - I have found my lung health much better to be truthful with no exposure to the bugs. Although not in shielding to the strictest sense, I have been taking my car out for a run once a fortnight and I have been doing short walks locally always observing safe distance. I also have a safe garden area, so really I am pretty lucky, I have not found the isolation a problem, but then I am not new to the experience.

I have not been anywhere near a supermarket during this time, the difference is I used to go to the supermarkets during winter months for shopping pre covid-19, after this experience, I will definitely be continuing with home deliveries during general bug season and for the duration of this virus.

Contact with family or friends has been by telephone, skype or FB messenger.

How have you been finding it William?

I am finding it hard as I work and and I don't know when I will be able to return, and its difficult on 80% of my wage,

Oh sorry to hear that William, won't you be saving the cost of your travel to and from work? You are unable to work from home at all, by phone, internet etc?
