Well the day came. Would have to say i felt sick to read this, especially as I have rarely felt clinically vulnerable until today. Whatever that means,

Will be interested to see,if it can get me a home, delivery slot, nothing else has.,,,

Take care, Sops x

I know what you mean about not normally feeling clinically vulnerable.

I’m a mum and a carer to my husband. I’m the one who looks after everyone but now I’m a vulnerable person who needs protecting and I have to say I’m having trouble getting my head round it.

Its a bit weird.isnt it.

I am looking forward to this expected good weather, will sit in my garden and hear all the runners, hikers, dog-walkers,horse-riders and cyclistswho whizz down the traffic-free-lane at the back of my house, and as the postcard says ‘ wish you were there’ ‘ too true.

This is a version of open prison I guess, but i am lucky to be able to do this qand never forget it.

Take care, Sopsx

Hope you get something soon Sops, I achieved a slot today with Iceland, keep checking every day make sure your basket is full as once the slot is booked you have 1 hour to pay after that you lose it.

Good luck

Still not received my letter, wasn't particularly bothered until I heard you need the letter should ambulance be needed for whatever emergency. Rang the surgery, not their problem and gave me web site. I filled that form in 2 weeks . Any suggestions people. Jane

I've not heard of that Jane. Where did you read it? Thanks

You don't need that letter to call 999 if you have a serious accident or genuine life threatening, medical emergency.

Hope the attached news article sets your mind at rest;

hi Michele-cat, thank you so much for this article, puts my mind at rest but saddens me that people can be so selfish and stupid.

I have been to A/E on rare occasion and have seen this malingering for myself.

Stay safe Sopsx

Hi Sops, I'm glad to hear the article was helpful.

It's very sad to learn about the extent of the misuse of the ambulance services, especially now when so many more lives are genuinely at risk. I understand it's already possible for people who falsely call 999 to be prosecuted, potentially leading to a fine. Perhaps now's the time to ensure they follow through with fraudulent calls for an ambulance?

Take care x

Agree abour prosecution

I was in our local theatre that doubles as a cinema on Friday nights, when my partner who,was holding my hand suddenly dropped it, i looked up,and he was unconscious , head lolling back over the seat. I yelled and no one heard as it was a noisy film so i,stood up,and true to my handle sang a top B note at full volume. Whereon the film was stopped. An ambulance was called after he had been carried out into the foyer and 2 paramedics promptly saved his life.

Where would i have been if they had been out on am hoax call !.

He is still going strong...

take care Sops x
