I tried to make this post yesterday but mobile signals are iffy on the Broads. It stopped raining long enough to load our bags Then a short drive, to the local pub for a meal, stake and ale pie, so big that I felt like Desperate Dan with his cow pie. In actual fact I ate more last night than the whole of last week. Not a lot of sleep last night, owls hooting and sleeping on the outside of a narrow double bunk, had to move to let her use the loo, multiples times. As for keeping warm, we were too hot with the supplied WINTER quilts.
Forecast is it too good for the next two days, but hope full of getting a coupl e of days sailing in.
My health continues to improve and at the moment after taking all my meds I have the best sats aboard! (the steroids responsible for that).
Starting to set off soon now, more later if I can get a signal.

Beautiful Happy Photo 2gs. Thank Goodness you are feeling Good to enjoy your Jollies, apart from Night Time Calls. Ha Ha. Enjoy. Look forward to your next Update. Love n Hugs C. XXX
Well done getting on board safely, all of you and she looks like a beautiful ⛵ boat! None of this "i'm invincible" attitude . ... and overdoing things eh? Great to know you're eating well again. Keep taking your meds and enjoy your holiday💞.
All looks very promising out there! 😃 Thanks for the pic. The cow pie sounds delish! So far so good, then, apart from the narrow bunk...! Maybe you’ll find a time for a nap as the day goes on 😴 The first night anywhere is often not good....pity about the winter duvets, but they’d probably be fine for me....you’ve got too much muscle!! Looking forward to the next instalment ⛵️
Was going to do that, but still needed to help out an anxious person, holiday or not. I keep losing signal so having to re-type everything over and over, on my phone.
2greys to the rescue again, then! Maybe you’ll get another decent meal tonight, and fall back exhausted on your bunk.....😴 Here’s hoping! It’ll do you good.
Sounds like a good busy day anyway. Don’t worry about your intermittent signal, we’ll wait to catch up in the end ⛵️ Red sails in the sunset??!
Thank you for this first chapter in your great adventure. It’s good to know you’re doing well. The food sounds amazing 🍲 Hopefully you’ll get a better night’s sleep tonight.
How exciting! How I envy you. When my husband was alive we took a holiday on the Norfolk Broads. Not understanding the tides we ended up on a Mudbank overnight. The next morning passing boaters would wave and shout to us enjoying the situation we were in! Hope it doesnt happen to you TwoGreys. Enjoy the trip and good weather go before you.
Great photo brings back many happy memories of sailing on the broads with my dad.
Plenty of steak & ale pie plus fish chips & mushy peas, and you won't go far wrong. 😁 Pity about the beer, but you can't expect everything in the cirs. You have a good crew taking care of you. I wish I could find a butler or manservant come come with me in my campervan. I tried to con Skis to take the job but I think Scruffy advised him against it. 🤔
Fantastic to see your pics and that you are getting to enjoy your holiday break. Love the desperate dan pie, bet that has built you up. Take care of yourself. Have a great time x
As you can well imagine the air here is so much cleaner than back home, I can breathe really properly for once, at least whilst at rest, it has been worth coming just for that alone.
Yes, I know what you mean. I usually breath better away from Eastbourne. We ha ve a lot of pollution. Not good for the chest. Don't overdo things and enjoy breathing easy. xx Moy
Morning Capn 2 Greys, glad to see you’re on your way and back on the waterways you so obviously love. I’m sure you’ll have a glorious time, despite the winter quilts and calls of nature 🥴 please don’t try to do do too much, sit back and let your family take the helm with appropriate instructions from you. I hope the weather is good for you and you have some lovely experiences and some good food and drink as you merrily sail along. I look forward to hearing all about your adventures. Take care. Christine. X
Told to take them along with abs and issued by the hospital on being discharged, I am still actually under treatment.
Listening to my body, and past rapid recoveries says that I'm okay to do this holiday, my health is still improving so I am extremely happy with the situation.
