Just got my nhs text - adding a pic of Pepparuby too
NHS Coronavirus Service: We have identified that you're someone at risk of severe illness if you catch Coronavirus. Please remain at home for a minimum of 12 weeks. Home is the safest place for you. Staying in helps you stay well and that will help the NHS too. You can open a window but do not leave your home, and stay 3 steps away from others indoors. Wash your hands more often, for at least 20 seconds.
That explains why they’ve not replied to my messages ast week for my prescription which I now cannot collect I hope they are going to explain how I can get it?
i have been ahead of the game as it got changed i checked with normal chemist what the script was and its not the newer meds, so rang docs left message, left message, left message then got someone to drop a request in, and now i have been informed it will go to a nearer pharmacy, good grief its a good job it doesnt run out next week, i did this now in case there was a problem - i run out in 4 weeks!
omg do not let skruffs hear this, she will scratch your eyes out!!! she is beautiful, as is all fur cats in my eyes. oh the meerkats belong to Mollie, this is Mollies chair and her meerkats... lol
Scruff's somewhat like Ski's will probably get a cast off from some charity some time in the near future, but it won't be as posh as a meerkat or a text from the government lol
Oh Bob, do you have a garden? Yes the shopping and all that goes with it, i have cats so they go out on there own, i am hoping there is a clear directive here that we can get online deliveries, and be a priority. We have to.
I know im vulnerable, but to be told in writing is actually quite daunting isnt it? I felt quite anxious, and i need to ground myself as Im a therapist working with peoples anxiety (over video as im not seeing anyone face to face anymore) -aghhhhhh
The confirmation about us being on a severe copd list is daunting but expected.
It's good your continuing to offer services to your clients and I'm sure you will adapt easily to video link, it's obviously not as personal but it's the best anyone can offer in our situation , stay safe
i didnt think i was severe, i was told i was moderate? like someone else o nhere said they were mild but still got the letter, maybe if you have copd regardless you will get the letter? who knows
I have severe copd and no letter, nothing, filled in on Government website then got a text saying they are checking with my Nhs. Still nothing. Its a load of rubbish thousands have not had the letter.
No text but I don’t think the NHS has my mobile number anyway. I know I’ll be a member of the shielding club because I qualify on 3 points outlined by AsthmaUK. I’m in Scotland though and I’m not sure how they’ll be contacting people anyway.
We’ve started doing it already. We’re a family of 4 (hubby is also in the vulnerable category and I have 2 daughters, 10 & 13). We live in a small house with one bathroom and I can’t imagine being able to stay away from the rest of my family so we’ll all be shielding together. Luckily, although we’re not supposed to go out of the house at all I live on a small rural island and it won’t be hard to drive to find a quiet spot to take my girls and 2 dogs out for a walk and some fresh air totally away from anyone else, so we will be breaking the rules a little there every now and then. I have food for a few days and the 2 small island shops are trying to deliver to anyone who needs it, but I’m going to miss being able to do a supermarket shop (and a bit worried about how much my food bill is going to go up as a result).
Oh - you are isolated anyway then. gosh its difficult, they will impose at some point anyone going out, but i dont want to get arrested for putting my bins out !! Cant even go out for a drive in the car??? i wanted to go to the forest at the weekend for a change of scenery, its bad enough not going shopping - which incidentally has resulted in a little bit of on line shopping.... take care
Well I’ve been keeping in anyway for the past couple of weeks as I’ve had a haemophilus chest infection and an asthma flare and so far Shetland has had 24 confirmed cases (total population just over 22,000), but my husband has been trying to go shopping (not easy for him as he is disabled with psoriatic arthritis and fibromyalgia), but when we realised yesterday I was in the severe asthma category we decided that he wouldn’t be going out shopping again because it’s impossible for me to separate myself from the family. I don’t think anyone is going to be arresting us though. If I lived anywhere where I couldn’t guarantee that I could keep away from everyone else I stay in the house totally. Just keeping fingers crossed that our island shops manages to keep its stocks up.
Hi, I have severe asthma etc etc and received a text this afternoon. Not a surprise and have been self-isolating for last 3 weeks really, so hopefully prepared for it😅. I am lucky I live with my husband who is now my full time carer but there will be times when we go stir-crazy!, However, it’s the least we can do compared to workers on the front line. Be part of the solution not the problem. Stay at home! Good luck everyone 😊😷👍
Stunning cat and very very regal will have to have words with my alley cats. Pinky is currently miaowing as he wants to go out but he’s grounded. 😺
I’m hoping not to get a text/letter, mentally I don’t think I could stay in for 12 weeks, tho with a compromised immune system I think I’m in the land of denial!
I need to go out even if it’s only to the local shop once a week
