I'm sure your dr would be aware of the contradictions. If you are concerned try 111. I dont think you should stop taking the steroid as they would of be prescribed for a good reason. If you can't get through to 111 im afraid it will have to wait untill monday. Unless somone on hear has more information.

Perhaps a Pharmacist could advise you.

Hi there.

As someone who has been on high doses of steroids for many years I would ask you not to alter any of your medications without medical advice.

I think a pharmacist would say the same,by all means try 111 but failing that contact your GP on Monday

Good luck

You are wise to check as GPs can make mistakes when prescribing - especially in these times of high stress.

It has happened to me, the gp has since apologised profusely for his error and said he learnt a valuable lesson on checking a patients history before prescribing. I'd been blue lighted to A&E unconcious.

Check with a pharmacist is my advice.

Do not just stop taking this medication suddenly it can cause a whole host of problems I'm talking from experience. 😊

The leaflets that are in with the drugs give the worst case scenario, basically they are covering their backsides after several class actions.

For drug interactions ask a pharmacist they are very knowledgeable.

It’s never a good idea to suddenly stop taking steroids the effects can be quite nasty.

Any major contraindication would be indicated by clearly saying the drug should NOT be taken at the same time as x, y or z. Try speaking to a pharmacist, or your GP on Mon, but meantime don’t stop them.

Or you can check for interactions on drugs.com
