Who will be asked to stay in

Hello,

I have Bronchiectasis and asthma. All is controlled.... I take medication and have a Nebulizer for the salt and water stuff and take 3 antibiotics a week. I am fine with all of that. I don’t need carers and I am well.

Do you think I will be on that list?

I also have the flu jab.

Mary xx

Read the post BLF just put on the site. All conditions are on there. A lot depends on your lung capacity.

Yes, you should self isolate.

Just looked at BLF info and sounds like you will have to hide away for 12 weeks, as will I 😢. If you have nebuliser treatment for bronchiectasis you’re in that group. I’ve had more than 2 courses of steroid in a year (lots more) and attend severe asthma clinic in addition to Mepo so....await my letter too ! Keep well x

You keep well too.... but I am well with the treatment. Oh dear, well we’re all in it together. Xx

I know, just wait and see. In the meantime I don’t think I can teach at my special needs class today. I’ll check with the GP. Thanks for your help.

Mary you should definitely be in the 12 week isolation in my personal opinion. I have bronch and it’s under control with just a Fostair inhaler. I’m different in that I’m 65 and retired so I don’t have work and income worries. I decided to self isolate even before the 12 week recommendation. I’ve never received any letter telling me to stay indoors though my doctor has told me I should.

I would hope that your workplace will be understanding of your circumstances.

Stay well and safe

Neil

I'm the same as you.... I will self isolate anyway, because I want to avoid it at all costs. Lung capacity afterwards may be greatly reduced.

Hi, unfortunately I think you might well be on list of vulnerable people, we won't know for sure until that little envelope comes through the door.

We came out to the Canaries for a break from the British winter and are now stranded here. At least the weather is better and warmer we will just have to stick it out. It's not as bed as mainland Spain.

Keep taking the meds and keep well
