Abnormal Spirometry Result 21yo

21 years old doing routine spirometry. Results were: FVC 156% predicted, FEV1 121% predicted and FEV1/FVC 67.7% predicted.

Three years ago my results for the same test were: FVC 99% predicted, FEV1 86% predicted and FEV1/FVC 86%

I’ve been referred to a specialist in two months but was wondering what these results might mean as all I’ve been told is that they are not acceptable for my occupation and I am concerned.

Can I ask why you have had more than one spirometry at 21?

Hi Bobbie Ray you can go online and find a spirometry calculator and put your results in. They usually tell you if your results are normal or not. This is not medical advice and I am not a doctor .Follow up with your doctor. Regards Bobby
