Burning pain between shoulders
Hi, Madonna.
Have you been coughing a lot recently? It could be that you've pulled some of the muscles around your shoulders. Try massaging the muscles by putting a hard hand sized ball between you and a chair or sofa back, and moving your body gently so that the ball rubs the sore bits.
If it's something deeper inside, I'm not sure what to suggest. You could perhaps contact the BLF Helpline and have a chat with the nurse there.
No I dont cough at all I get tight chest and now hurts between my shoulders.I worry I getting worse cus I haven't stopped smoking I am struggling to stop.I asked my surgery for champix and they can't give them to me cus of council cuts so I have now bought the tablets and start day is new years day.
the tablets worked for me 7 plus years and not wanted to smoke since. 4 weeks and clear. Just think of the money you will save. Good Luck
I do get muscular aches between my shoulders very sore indeed, but think it might be too long doing things on my lap top or mobile partly for me.
I don't think it's right your GPs surgery neglecting you and recommend trying again. Make an apt with the nicest Dr there and take someone with you as support. Not so easy to be fobbed off when you're not on your own.
Oh thats a good idea! Never thought of taking someone are ask my mum.I do have appointment tomorrow and will ask again for referral to the hospital as I need help..I also tomorrow going to a singing class which is organised by the hospital it suppost to help with copd.
Oh I am pleased that's a good person to back you up. Also have you tried a warm wheat bag on your back/ shoulders?? It helps me.
Enjoy the singing class it will do you the power of good. I am still a member of a choir but think my coughing is annoying them now!!
It could be acid reflux ask your gp for some omerprazole or try some gaviscon from the chemist x
Hi Madonna
I think that physiotherapy may help.
I get a lot of pain in my neck and back. It is not arthritis, so I've been told, but muscular. Physiotherapy releases the knots in the neck and helps you to relax more. I have also found a heat pad I bought in Lidls (£2.99) is really good, as it helps relax the muscles and reduce pain.
Your GP sounds horrible.
All the best.
Don’t get fobbed off by your primary care GPs - you may have to make a fuss but get a referral to a good consultant. And stopped lung function tests? Ridiculous- can you make a complaint to your local Health Board? As I’ve found out you have to be very firm - it’s your health x
