Just a little joke that is certainly not meant to imply that some of the fairer sex are a little money-orientated.

A wealthy husband and his wife were having dinner at an upscale restaurant when this stunning young woman comes over to their table, gives the husband a big kiss, then says she'll see him later and walks away.

The wife glares at her husband and says, "Who the hell was that?"

"Oh," replies the husband, "she's my mistress."

"Well, that's the last straw," says the wife. "I've had enough, I want a divorce!"

"I can understand that," replies her husband, "but remember, if we get a divorce it will mean no more shopping trips to Paris, no more wintering in Barbados, no more summers in Tuscany, no more BMW in the garage and no more yacht club. But the decision is yours."

Just then, a mutual friend enters the restaurant with a gorgeous woman on his arm.

"Who's that woman with George?" asks the wife. "That's his mistress," says her husband. A short pause, then...

“Ours is prettier," she replies.

I think any woman worth her salt shouldn’t put up with that and she get a good lawyer and take him to the cleaners . The young mistress might not find him so appealing then.

Bit out of date. Today she wd be still be getting the yacht, the holidays and the money and wouldn't have to put up with that idiot.

It was supposed to be a joke, the funny bit supposedly being 'Ours is prettier' but perhaps they had a prenuptial agreement...that's modern.

Incorrect the yacht would have been boarded and impounded somewhere off the Spanish coast by Spanish customs and excise and the drug enforcement agency.holidays due to their carbon footprint have long since been deemed politically incorrect and the money would have long since been laundered into an offshore fund.

The couple have been reunited and after counselling are residing in supported accomodation under the care of the local authority. x

Thank goodness they aren't worth the paper they are written on in this country. I appreciate that you only wished to give everybody a chuckle but there are some for whom it brings back the experience of living under coercive control. Then you get what is maybe an over reaction to a 'joke' which I could describe as mysoginistic. I'm sure that you know some jokes which could make us all laugh.
