How will track and trace work?

Boris Johnson has confirmed the system of track and trace in England will start on Thursday.

If you test positive for the coronavirus then you will be asked to provide details of who you have come into close contact with.

You will be told you must self-isolate for 14 days, even if you never become sick.

The prime minister said if people did not, then the government would consider bringing in fines.

The point is to pivot from lockdown for everyone to isolation for a few.

I do hope that the antibody test will be available to prove immunity, otherwise there will be a breach of the human right to freedom of movement. They cannot isolate people or fine people unless they can prove you are not immune.

Yeah fines for the many and complete disregard for the privileged few! I wonder if it's a ploy to discourage as many as possible from seeking tests? Oh silly me of course it's not!

Matt Hancock stands there and says "You must self isolate, then go and get tested........" so how is that possible if you live alone? You cannot get a test done if you are self isolating. For me to get a test I would have to travel 18 miles to Portsmouth 'park and ride,' I do not drive and even if I did I would not be able to, having had it, I know what the effects of it are, with a fever of 38.9°C and be able to drive is an insane thing to do with delirium.

Dial 119 to ask for a home test in the same delirious state and have to make it from your sick bed down a flight of stairs to see if the postman might of delivered it, then have to do the same to get it picked up, presuming you have heard the door knock from your sick bed. They are total dreamers, have no idea and do not live in the real world.

I fail to understand why infected people have to mention people that they have been in contact with for 15 minutes or more. If that's the case why do we have to stay 2 metres away from people we pass in the street where the contact is 5 secs or less. One or other has to be wrong.

Just more arbitrary rules made up on the hindfoot it seems to me.

"The point is to pivot from lockdown for everyone to isolation for a few." A few? you can be infectious for around 5 days before symptoms start to show. How are you to remember who you have come into contact with in a delirious fever? What about the total strangers that you may have come into contact with. It is not an ideal world that we live in, when are they going to wake up and realise it.
