Cancer-free! The last cysto (six months ago) showed no neoplasia as well, but I did have a bladder stone. The urologist/oncologist tried to knock it loose with the tip of the cystoscope (mentioning she wished she had a scope with graspers on it) but only broke a piece off...then the blood started to flow so that put an end to that.
So going in for this last exam had me in an awful state of dread. Imagining the pain of ripping that calculus from the bladder wall...
But low and behold, it was gone. I did increase water consumption over the past few months, and often included freshly squeezed lemon juice in it, as the Doctor suggested. Hasn't been proven to reduced kidney/bladder stones, but hasn't been disproven either...so maybe it did help.
And then if I'm still cancer-free next September, I can go back on the recipient waiting list for the double-lung transplant.
I love you all and enjoy reading your posts. Sometimes I think most people can't engage in cognitive empathy, so there's no point in even trying to tell them what COPD is like. After all..." you look fine ".
