how to stop nose bleeds severe ones

I'm not on oxygen so no cannula but I used to get severe nose bleeds and I too had it cauterized in the hospital. Since then I've had few nose bleeds. In fact at first the procedure seemed to have stopped the nose bleeds altogether, then after a while I started to get the occasional one. Now for the past week I've had a nose bleed every evening. I don't know what's caused this, or how to prevent it. I can only think it's due to the cold weather and it being cold indoors too. It was certainly much colder outdoors when I've been to Scandinavia in the winter, but warm indoors. With my recent heating problems it's often 11 degrees indoors. I don't know if the cold is the cause but I wonder if you're managing to keep warm? Wishing you all the best and hoping we can find some preventative measures to avoid getting nose bleeds 🤞
I have had a couple of severe nosebleeds the first of which I had to call an ambulance for and go to hospital. However it was not cauterised as they managed to get it to stop. Now I just find if I sit as calmly as possible and pinch my nose quite tightly for a good 10 minutes it stops. I also use KY Jelly on my cannula and find that helps a lot. Not had a nose bleed now for several months
