Nose bleeds

I am a COPD sufferer and on home oxygen almost 24/7 now. Just lately I have suffered 3 really serious nosebleeds the first of which we called an ambulance for but the last two I have finally managed to stop myself but its taken a good half hour. Does anybody know if the oxygen is the cause for drying out my nasal passages? Does anybody else have this problem?

Hi ginger music I am not on any oxygen but Christmas Eve and Christmas Day I had 3 bad nose bleeds I have stage 3 Emphysmea

When you say bad nose bleeds how long did it take you to get it to stop? I think I am stage 4 COPD due to Emphysema

About halve an hour meachntime but was scery

Yes the same as me I am going to make an appointment with my GP and see what she says about it as the blood loss is really quite high each time

I have a docs appt in the morning I will be asking him as well watch this space I will let you know .

Oh your lucky I have to wait over a week so yes please do let me know what your GP says to you that would be most helpful and interesting

I had this appt made before Christmas as I have been coughing a lot . Said going to send me to see lung consultant Changed my in haler but said to see him in2 weeks . Hence getting one quick. But don't have aprop getting to see dr . Still have cough

Hi well the doctor I saw was not our normal one and did not know what to say so was a wasited vist . Going back next week when own doc in .

Isn't that just typical I have to wait until Jan 9th for my doctors visit
