nose bleeds?

i've been using nasal specs for about 4 years. i have a number of complex health problems. last few weeks, nose bleeds from time to time. not severe. just a slow leaking. i'm starting to worry.

if anyone has had similar, be grateful for advice. hoping to speak to gp on tuesday anyway, just feeling a bit panic.

Hi Tulip, this is a pal from across the pond, Nadine. Before I was sick I worked as a Respiratory Therapist, and I would encourage my pt's to use either a saline spray or a lubricant gel. We here in the US call it Ky gel. It should be water soluble. Do not use Vaseline, especially if you are on O2! I hope this helps, and and apply it with a Q-tip and don't reapply with the same to both nares, always use a new one for each. Good luck & take care, Nadine ☺

No, not necessarily. This is advise we would give to both, on or off O2, you just need to reapply as many times as it takes to heal the dry mucus membranes, it is only a suggestion, I am not offered! Good luck, Nadine ☺
