An inside job.

โ€ข34 Replies

Tonight we put the clocks back

An extra hour in bed

Most clocks to do are easy

But there is one job I dread

The radio clocks will do themselves

The rest are analogue

The only one I cannot do

Is the one inside my dog!

Hi Don, I wondered if you would have something to say about the clocks going back! I was right! Another smoker for us to enjoy and so true. Kind regards.

How about a wee dram in Midges bedtime milk drink Oh Venerable One๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚

I found, by accident the other day, that Midge likes a nip of Bailey's. ๐Ÿ™„

Oh I have to say thatโ€™s my absolute favourite and I am salivating writing this ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

โ€ข in reply toWhitechinchilla

Well I have found that in my state of advanced deterioration I no longer enjoy the after effects of most alcoholic drinks, so I thought I would give Baileys a try. Midge was sitting on my knee and stretched over to my almost empty glass, which was standing on the small table next to my chair, for a sniff. Now she is a very obedient dog and wouldnโ€™t touch anything without permission and when she looked me in the eye, and I canโ€™t be sure of this, I might well have given the very slightest nod of my head. Whatever, I can repeat what I said originally.

Now I know which clock I didn't change. My alarm clock. I hadn't set it yesterday, being Sunday. And anyway I woke up yesterday at my usual early time of 5. Which was 4 after the time change. For once this morning I hadn't woken up until the alarm. I put the coffee on and was listening to the radio and thinking, this is weird, this program is normally on at 5. Then it dawned on me I hadn't changed the alarm clock. How annoying! I do set the alarm on my phone (which hasn't gone yet of course) but always set a second alarm in case one or other doesn't work. Usually I'm awake early anyway but for once I wasn't today! ๐Ÿ˜ด๐Ÿ’ค

I agree, dogs have clocks in them, creatures of habit and routine.

Haha so true.

My oven clock is my trickiest with the car a close 2nd.

โ€ข in reply topeege

My oven doesn't have a clock, it takes a pride in burning everything! My car is easy to do when I can remember how/when to do it, but 6 months is long enough to completely forget. So I don't bother.

Same here until the day I forget the flipping car clock is an hour early so get very late for something very important. At least for the next few months I'll be an hour early ๐Ÿ˜†

By the way, I hope your cough us improving. P
