Inhalers with no steroids
The ones containing corticosteroids will calm down inflammation of the airways, so the question is do you have inflammation. If you do then it would be of benefit.
A few of us here actually use inhalers with double the strength off corticosteroids. I use Fostair 200/6 whereas the standard is 100/6.
Quite simply yes,a lot depends on the inflammatory aspect of your lung condition, people like myself, although having very severe emphysema benefit from the bronchodilator inhalers which reduce resistance in the airways but don't require the steroid element because we have little inflammation and do not produce an abundance of mucus.

Yes, depending on what respiratory condition you have. The only inhaler that really worked for me, and I was really well, was one without a steroid.
Thanks for your advice everyone. Going to have a chat with my doctor. But no appointments til end of November will have to ring every morning see if they are going to release any appointments. Always like this when you want an appointment. Good job not urgent.
Hi, I've been on Seretide and Fostair and found that it affected my skin, i.e heavy bruising and skin getting thinner. I'm now using Trelegy/Ellipta powder based which seems to be a lot better for me. Along with Salbutamol/Ventolin. I suppose it's what suits the individual. Good luck with your GPs appointment.
