Hi am no expert but could be anything from remains of infection to calcified granuloma that as not calcified yet.
Think that what ground glass on nodules mean.
Usally doctors will order rescan in few months to check size shape.
Hi, I see you've not had many replies, probably because it's not too common on the forum.
To the right (on an iPad at least), is a section called Related Posts where you will find a couple of posts on this along with all their replies. You can also write 'ground glass' in the search bar and see what comes up. Sorry I don't know anything about it. Good luck, P
My ground glass nodule was discovered by a CT scan for a heart problem. After monitoring it for five years, it had grown very slowly and my middle right lobe was removed. It showed pre cancerous cells. Surgery was in April this year and I got the all clear. Eternally grateful for the wonderful treatment I have received.
Incidentally most ground glass modules are non cancerous. I was unlucky but also lucky in that it was spotted and was contained in the lobe. Let us know how you get on after your next CT scan.
Many thanks for the reply, this is most informative, also I am very glad to hear you now have the all clear, it must of been a stressful time for you, I will let you know what happens, but I feel very positive about this after your comment .
I had CT scan and they found a nodule growing and possibly was cancerous .Like you they left for 3 months another CT scan then miracles it had gone completely , altho not the same as yours just letting you know that sometimes things do work out ok .
