Hi just posting for a little catch up was diagnosed COPD in 2014 aged 39, had a lung cancer scare last Christmas when large noduals were found on my lung, further investigation discovered I have latent TB and at some point in the past I had TB at a guess I would say 2013 when I first complained of night sweats, coughing and sputum by the shed load😁.Any way just received a letter from the hospital saying that during my last CT scan they saw i have a fractured T7 vertebrate and I have to have another scan and bone density test 😕 anyone else had this happen?I'm hoping it was from a fall I had 20yrs ago when I fell down some steps and hurt my coxsic*sp was in pain about 6mnts didn't have x-ray I was young and stupid 💁or have I at the grand ole age of 44 got osteoporosis? The T7 vertebrate is the one that holds the rib cage to the spine 😬 my lung function has improved from 44 to 54 %after a year on Trelegy inhaler, and last week was also diagnosed with asthma (that took 5years to be tested for)was only tested by the nurse at pulmonary rehab, by the way any one newly diagnosed I can't recommend PR enough I wish I had this info 5 yrs ago, thanks for reading take care Liz xxx

Hello Lizadam, Pete has had bone density scans and they’re nothing to worry about. He has back problems too so it’s a good idea for you to have a scan.

I hope you stay as well as you can and wish you well. Xxxx

Hi Lizadam, sorry to hear you are having problems, at least you are now diagnosed and hopefully can receive the correct treatment, wish you all the best x

Hi Liz. That's a lot to deal with but it's better to know than not to know in my opinion! Knowing gives you some power over the situation and you can start any treatment that might help. Great news on the lung function and PR though- well done you. I really hope you're feeling the benefits! xx

Thanks for the replies😁 yes things are much improved was just having a little rant as sometimes feel the Doctors are very dismissive of lung problems and label everything COPD, being told I had 59%lung function at 39 and not much else was pretty scary and affected me for a long time,as I really thought I was going to die or be on oxygen very soon,I'm still scared of the oxygen tank,😬but I've learned I can do a lot to help my self and push myself a lot more, my oxygen stats used to be roughly 84% while at rest and 78%while walking only just found out that's not good, now a year later they are on average 93%-97% which is amazing,I can't understand how it's got so much better as they were this befor PR so I'm putting it down to healing from TB hoping so anyway and that with my new knowledge I can improve even more, had the scan today results back in 4-5 weeks thanks again for reading Liz xxx
