Phone the DWP designated pip telephone number ,see about universal credit as well and esa , if you qualify these should help your financial situation

Try UC u should fall into the catch all section under those rules , contrary to reports it's no more or less difficult to apply for than other benefits, u shouldnt be left with no income

If you have to pay council tax enquire about that but you may need pip first. . Also blue badge for car helpful. If worried about paperwork book in to see cab or age concern usually they can help you. On here in they will help and advise in administration tell you what to do next. I applied went to meeting I had to give up work. As severe copd and running round with children didnt help. Ps.they say they are looking at your bad days like how far you CAN walk I struggled and got a sick note from my doctors surgery he had all relevant paperwork there to put me on sick leave indefinitely.i fo have regular check ups. Also are you on oxygen that will help.

Firstly you should not be left with no money coming in. Some councils have an assessment benefit department, enquire through your council tax section. Apply for pip straight away or you will loose your right to any arrears due. Universal credit is your only option if all else fails. Contact your local councillor if you have been left with no income. If you have a mental health issue get in touch with MIND they can at least let you know what your rights are. Sadly now you cannot get benefits sheerly on mental health, but it has to be taken into account with other health issues when assessing capability for work or benefits. A passed depressive illness can help you to maintain a disability rating as it could return at anytime. You need a disability adviser to look at your case contact Disability Rights for advice. Hope this info helps and fill in a form for PIP ASAP. I cannot take pills due to varied allergies ect, you are not obliged to take any pills in order to be entitled or diagnosed. You could also contact adult social services for advice on your disability rights.Good Luck

My daughter is a Welfare Rights officer and deals with this every day.Get advice from the Citizens Advice bureau etc they will put you in touch with someone to help you fill in all the forms etc.Its important to do this, it can make the difference between getting it or not. They are very experienced in the workings of the system.

You must get onto this ASAP. I completed my son's application, He has a lot of health problems and takes a huge number of tablets a day. His doctor supported his claim and it went through on the first application, but my friend who is in a sorry state due to a major heart problem had her PIP taken away which meant her car had to go back despite her doctor's support. She appealed and was granted PIP and had it backdated. Don't allow them to dictate to you, most applications are allowed on appeal so don't give in!!
